How incredibly lucky we were to have you play at our wedding reception. We have honestly never seen so many happy and energetic friends and family all together in one place having an absolute ball thanks to you!!
The atmosphere was marvellous and I can’t even count the amount of fabulous comments we received about the music.
You are all such fantastically talented people, not to mention how friendly and accommodating you were to my requests and we cannot thank you enough for creating such perfect memories of our wedding day. We were very lucky to have Head North play at our wedding. They were incredible!! Going over and above to make sure we were happy. They even learnt our favourite song so that we could have it as our first dance. Everyone commented on how amazing the music was and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. The communication and organisation of the band was second to none and we would highly recommend them. Can’t wait to hear them play again in the future!

Festivals
Once again Head North proved to be an enormous attraction and everybody loved you! Your music appeals to all, young and old, and I loved seeing youngsters bopping and oldies swaying and generally everyone so focussed on the music.

The Head North concert in the Thomas Lord pub in West Meon was a real highlight of this year's festival.
Everyone at the concert loved their infectious energy and were wowed by their amazing technical abilities.
Their ensemble skills were particularly impressive with each member of the band able to solo out, yet be
perfectly in tune and together with each other when supporting, even the most complex cross-rhythms were perfectly executed.

‘Garvellach Isles’ offers 14 tracks ranging widely through interpretations of the Scottish musical tradition to heritage-inspired originals ... foot-stomping to Garvellach - head northheart-touching. The result is an album of considerable quality, clear musical strength with equally obvious vocal potency, and if ‘Garvellach Isles’ receives the hearing it richly deserves then there should be no isolation for Head North. ……………….Their freshness of approach and readily apparent vivacity, augmented by an ability to present tradition, in its widest sense, through arrangements and self-penned tunes, must lead this band towards a bright future. In short, in the intensely-populated world of music, Head North is worth noticing and ‘Garvellach Isles’ an album worth owning.
